Welcome to my personal website. This is Kwok-leong Tang 鄧國亮. The major part of this website is a collection of my GenAI teaching materials and use cases. I also maintain a website titled [KNIME for Chinese Studies](https://kltng.github.io/knime-for-chinese-studies/) which is a collection of tutorials on using KNIME for Chinese studies.

I serve as the Managing Director of the Digital China Initiative and a lecturer for the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University. By training, I am a historian. I received my bachelor's and master's degrees in history from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Ph.D. in history and Asian Studies from Pennsylvania State University. In recent years, I have focused on exploring the potential of new technologies in humanities research. Over the last two years, I have organized and instructed workshops on adopting GenAI in Chinese studies and humanities research at Harvard and other institutions.
