Document processing
gaaucau quick OCR processes imported documents on your Mac. Its PaddleOCR recognition and layout models are included with the app. The app does not upload your documents or recognized text to the publisher or a cloud OCR service, and it does not require an account or download additional models.
Local storage and your control
Imported page images, recognized text, processing status, and local diagnostic files are stored on your Mac in the app’s sandbox. Exported files are saved to a location you choose. You can remove projects through the app and manage exported files with Finder. Copies may remain in the Trash, backups, or synced folders according to your own macOS and storage settings.
Analytics and tracking
The app has no advertising or app analytics integration and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. This policy covers the macOS app; this website’s analytics and cookie choices are separate from the app’s document processing.
Exported files and other software
You may open exported files in other applications, which operate under their own privacy practices. Browser read-aloud features can use system or online voices depending on the browser and voice you select. That is separate from Quick OCR’s on-device recognition. Files you put in a cloud-synced folder may be handled by your chosen storage provider.
Support correspondence
If you email support, the publisher receives the message and any files you choose to send. Support correspondence is used to respond to your request. Include only the information needed to explain the problem; do not send personal or confidential scans unless you have chosen to share them. Email is handled by the email services used to send and receive your message.
