A four-day intensive workshop at Harvard University (May 18–21, 2026), hosted by the Digital China Initiative, for East Asian humanities researchers. Ten sessions walk from "what is an LLM" to a personal LLM wiki, a published browser-based research tool, and agent-driven use of classical digital-humanities methods (TEI, NLP, GIS, network analysis).
LCSH Cataloging Assistant: AI-Powered Subject Headings Generation & Validation
A presentation at the PCC At-Large meeting demonstrating the LCSH Cataloging Assistant, a free and open-source tool that uses a three-phase AI pipeline (AI suggest, LOC validate, AI select) to generate and validate Library of Congress Subject Headings with MARC record output.
Digital China Initiative at Harvard University
A presentation at the Digitizing Việt Nam: Vietnamese Studies in the Age of Digital Humanities and Artificial Intelligence conference at Columbia University. The talk covered the Digital China Initiative's mission, the Schmidt Sciences-funded multilingual AI project, advances in OCR and ASR, vibe coding for humanities, and designing digitization projects for both human and machine audiences.

Digital China Worldwide: Exploring RAG for Resource Recommendation
I presented Digital China Worldwide at the 2025 Annual Meeting of Council on East Asian Libraries. This project demonstrates how Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) can be implemented to create an intelligent chatbot specifically designed for recommending specialized research resources in Chinese Studies based on natural language queries.
Better Recommendation: Validating AI-generated Subject Terms Through LOC Linked Data Service
This was a presentation at the Pre-Conference of the 2025 Annual Meeting of Council on East Asian Libraries. I presented an approach to validate AI-generated subject terms through Library of Congress Linked Data Service. I also demonstrated two tools adopted the approach to suggest LCSHs.
